A Few Words About Us

STAND offers comprehensive family based services to middle and high school students with attention, organization, and behavioral problems.

Since 2010, more than 400 families in South Florida have participated in STAND at the FIU Center for Children and Families. STAND has received funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and the U.S. Department of Education to research the program’s effectiveness. Results of this research suggest that for most families, STAND produces significant improvements in organization and academic skills, parent-teen conflict and teen independence.
